Between the islands of Yakutat Bay, approaching Disappointment Inlet, where Captain George Vancouver in the 1700s turned back yet again, disappointed at not finding the fabled Northwest Passage to the Atlantic Ocean. He was to turn back again from a similar quest near Anchorage, after attempting NW passage, at Turnagain Arm.
